Blur, refraction and tint for Hyprland windows, layers and panels.
hyprglass
The bar, the panels and the login screen get a glass look instead of a flat fill.
Frosted, clear, solid, high contrast and more: the Glass effects guide lists them all. Pick a default, or give an app its own.
Duplicate a style or start from nothing. Each of seven kinds of surface, such as windows, menus and notifications, has its own blur, refraction, tint, light, edge and opacity, in dark and in light.
The shell and the login screen work without it. Without the plugin their glass is hidden or falls back.
If blur slows your machine, turn off Use blur and the bar, panels and apps become solid.
Before you start. Hyprland 0.56 or later.
Packaged for pacman, on Arch Linux. Add the Hyprnux repository once first: Install Hyprnux. On another distribution, build it from its sources.
If your Hyprland config already loads a hyprglass plugin, remove that line first. Two copies of the plugin can crash Hyprland.
sudo pacman -S hyprglassWith a Hyprland config of your own, add the plugin line to it once. The install guide gives it.
Hyprglass is built against Hyprland’s own headers, so rebuild and reinstall it with every Hyprland update. The styles page in Settings needs the Hyprnux shell.
sudo pacman -Rns hyprglassIf something goes wrong, see the install guide.
